Dear Birthmother:
Our names are Roger and Susan. We know this is a difficult time for you at this point in your life. Our prayers and love are with you. Your decision to place your child with a family is probably the hardest decision you will ever have to make. You are truly an angel from God. If you decide to choose us as adoptive parents to your child, he or she will receive so much love and emotional support, not just from us, but from our family and friends who are all very supportive of our decision to adopt. Your child will also grow up knowing God and all of His wonderful ways.
We both come from religious families and were taught the ways of the Bible from a very early age. Susan’s mother was the organist at the church for 14 years and director of the pre-school at the church for 25 years. We both believe in a very strong Christian upbringing. Your child will have everything he/she needs to grow up healthy, happy and moral with Christian values to live by.
We both come from stable, loving homes. Roger’s parents were married for 43 years (his father is deceased), and Susan’s parents just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Roger’s immediate family lives within 10 minutes of our home. Susan’s parents live on the same farm that we are building our new log home on. We raise horses on our farm and enjoy trail riding. Although we enjoy going to the mountains, we love to travel anywhere warm! We like scuba diving, white water rafting, and snorkeling.
We are Christians with high moral values and believe in treating all people with respect and fairness. Roger has been in business for himself for about 26 years. He maintains a high moral conduct in his business; that is why he is so successful. Susan is a part-time substitute teacher and works in the nearby school district. She loves making a difference in the lives of the children she teaches but is looking forward to making the greatest influence on our child, being there to love, nurture, teach, and inspire.
Roger and I are each other’s best friends and are totally dedicated to one another. We understand that being a parent is a life long commitment and lovingly look forward to the opportunity. You will never have to worry about your child because we assure you that he/she will have a loving and secure environment, and will be provided for in all ways. If we are chosen as the adoptive parents to your baby, you will be our angel sent from God. You will be in our prayers daily and we will never forget your selfless act of love. We have tried everything medically possible to have a child and it just has not worked out. We truly believe that we have been chosen to be the parents of an adoptive child and know that in God’s time, our prayers will be answered. We pray that you are part of His answer to our becoming parents to a beloved child who will grow up knowing and loving Him.
