Dearest Birthmother,
“Now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians13: 13). This scripture, which was read at our wedding, has helped guide us through some of the most difficult times in our lives. May it give you strength and comfort as you make this important decision. Know that God loves you. May God bless you and the precious life you carry.
We know it is sometimes difficult to understand what God has planned for our lives. But we do know that he is in control. Terry and I feel so blessed to have found each other. We have been married for nine years and love each other with all our hearts. We knew that God had a special plan for adoption in our lives even before we were married. Terry was adopted by his father and we would like to share that incredible experience with a child of our own. We are blessed with twin 5½ year old boys, Alex and Jordan. They are the light of our lives. We would like to have a larger family and feel that a little girl would make our family complete. The boys are thrilled at the prospect of becoming big brothers!
We have a beautiful home on a golf course near the beach with a large backyard. Our local schools are top rated and great parks surround us. Our home is frequently filled with lots of neighborhood children who come over to play. Our home is full of laughter and love, where children feel welcome, safe and secure.
We enjoy a very happy and active life. Last summer we took Alex and Jordan to Hawaii with their grandparents, aunt and uncle. We take pleasure from all kinds of sports including water and snow skiing, swimming, basketball, baseball and soccer. We have a home in the mountains, which we visit frequently to enjoy the outdoors, including lots of snow! We have two dogs and a cat (our fur babies) that are an endless supply of love and affection. Zack and Peanut are small cuddly dogs so children love them.
Terry owns his own business that he ambitiously started when he was only 25 years old. He loves his work and it is a great source of pride and fulfillment. Terry has his pilot’s license and experiences the joy of flying. He is an extremely devoted father who coaches sports teams and helps with school work. Leslie is completely dedicated to being a stay at home mom. Leslie is a volunteer one-day a week at a local animal shelter, which is where we got our dog, Peanut and our cat, Sprocket.
We are active members in our local church. We are both volunteer Sunday school teachers for the Kindergarten level. Leslie belongs to a women’s Bible study that meets every week. Every summer Alex and Jordan attend a vacation Bible school that they love. Leslie volunteers as a teacher for the Bible school as well. Alex and Jordan sing in the church choir and perform in the annual Christmas pageant. We attend Christian concerts as a family and we enjoy Christian music.
Our hope is to raise strong, open-minded, confident, and compassionate children who love life and who know and love the Lord. Good morals, values, ethics, and a concern for all life and the environment are taught by example.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13) May your faith give you strength, comfort and hope as you make this difficult decision. As God loves us, know that we will love your baby with all our hearts.
Our prayers are with you….Terry and Leslie
