Dear Birth Mom:

Our hearts are ready to give tremendous love to your baby. We have a fun, active home that’s filled with laughter and warmth, and we are excited about expanding our family through adoption. We will cherish your baby with unconditional love. Your child will always know that she is a gift from a generous woman who loved her and desired the best for her.

Allan and I have been married for eleven years, and we are truly best friends. We have two wonderful boys (ages 7 and 2), and our home is frequently filled with neighborhood children who come over to play. We would like to have a larger family, and we feel that a little girl would make our family complete. We are awaiting the arrival of a baby girl to shower with affection. Our seven-year-old (Austin) can’t wait to have a baby sister.

At the center of our relationship is a strong set of values. We are active members of our church, where Allan is an usher, and I help run a program that provides shelter and meals for homeless families in the basement of our church. We believe it’s important to raise our children as Christians who understand that God loves them, and that we should follow Christ’s ways by helping those who are in need. We teach our children that every person is inherently good, and that it is not our place to judge others but rather to see the positive things in every person. As Christ said, “Be compassionate, as your Father is compassionate. Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Pardon, and you shall be pardoned. Give, and it shall be given to you.” Luke 6:36.

Education is also very important to us. We both have had the opportunity to receive great educations and we would ensure that your child receives the best education possible. There is a wonderful school only a few blocks from our house, with some of the best teachers in the state.

Our home is nestled in the woods near a large lake that’s just a five-minute walk down a wooded path. At the end of the path is a beach and dock that our neighborhood shares. All summer long the beach is covered in sandcastles made by the neighborhood children. We enjoy boating and swimming in the lake and the children love roasting smores at the beach with their friends. We joke that we live in Mayberry with a small-town feel, but we’re only twenty minutes from a large city with plenty of culture.

We are financially comfortable and have found careers that allow us to be creative. Allan is a graphic designer who has run his own business for fifteen years. Because he runs his own business, he has flexibility in his schedule and he’s able to keep family as the top priority. Allan’s hobbies include fishing, woodworking, and photography. I am a children’s book author. I write part-time in my home office, and I spend the rest of the time playing with the kids. Being home with our children is important to me because it gives me invaluable playtime with them. As a family we love camping, biking, traveling, playing games and doing art projects.

We very much respect your decision to make an adoption plan, and we thank you for considering us. Our promise to you is that we will love your baby with our whole hearts and that she will grow up in a very happy environment. We believe that certain things are meant to be. We would be both honored and excited to hear from you.
